X-trails are fantastic. They'll never have a problem with it. The drive just like a car not some big hulking thing. It won't pull quite as well as the Frontera but for a caravan, it'll do fine. When they get the X-trail, get the lighting kit for it. It bolts on to the roof, rospher looks well tough and is dead handy when hitching up in the dark.
